Indoor switchgears of series KU-10C are intended to receive and distribute electric power of three-phase alternating current with frequency of 50 or 60 Hz and rated voltage of 6-10 kV in insulated or partially grounded neutral systems. Switchgears of series KU10C are used in auxiliary switchgears of power plants of all types, electric substations as well as electrical installations of enterprises in all industrial sectors, railway and metro systems.
Design
Depending on the intended purpose and type of fitting apparatus, cubicles can be with or without the withdrawable unit. Availability or non-availability of the front doors depends on main switchgear connections: KU10C cubicles for rated currents of 1600 A up to 3 150 A have up-and-over doors of original design and cubicles for rated currents of 2000 А and 3150 А (breaking current of 31.5 kA) have a short front door and a curtain dropped down when the withdrawable unit is moved. Some cubicles are manufactured without front doors; a withdrawable unit front panel is used instead of them. Cubicles series KU10C are available both in front access design and rear and front access design.
Switching Apparatus
Switchgears series KU-10C are equipped with BP1, BP2 and BP3 vacuum switch-breakers made by "ВС - РЗВА". These circuit-breakers are designed for rated currents of up to 3150 A and rated breaking currents of up to 40 kA. They have the commutation life of up to 50000 ON/OFF cycles at rated currents and 100 cycles at breaking currents.
