LLC "HIGH VOLTAGE UNION-RZVA" tested the upgraded circuit breaker BP6B at the international testing center in Romania - ICMET CRAIOVA (NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR RESEARCH-DEVELOPMENT AND TESTING IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING - ICMET CRAIOVA) for compliance with IEC62271-100: 2012 standard.
Two test samples of circuit breakers on nominal currents 1600A and 3150A successfully passed all tests.
Vacuum circuit breaker type BP6B is intended for switching circuits in normal and emergency modes in networks of three-phase alternating current of frequency 50 (60) Hz with the nominal voltage of 6 kV for systems with insulated or partially grounded neutral. It is used in switchgears of own needs of thermal and nuclear power plants.
Specialists of RZVA, having taken into account all the wishes of the customers (mainly these separate subdivisions of the state-owned enterprise NNEGC "Energoatom"), carried out the work on maximum adaptation of the circuit breaker ВР6B to replace the working life of the circuit breakers BEC-6, also replaced the material of the vacuum poles for a more reliable and better according to its characteristics epoxy compound firm "Huntsman", which can be used for external use.
